Robust Subracks can Handle Extreme Shock and Vibration

Now available from Schroff is a range of 19in. subracks that can withstand the rigorous and demanding environmental conditions found in many naval applications, particularly where equipment is subjected to extreme levels of shock and vibration.
Featuring a robust aluminium construction, the europacPRO subracks are designed to provide high mechanical stability to protect the electronic systems mounted within them.
To verify their durability and stability under shock and vibration, the subracks have been thoroughly tested by an independent test house in accordance with a number of industry standards, including IEC 61587-1, and EN 50155.
These RoHS-compliant subracks are available unshielded or with EMC cover plates and contact strips to provide typical shielding levels of 40dB at 1GHz and 30dB at 2GHz.
The subracks are 84HP wide and can be specified with heights of 3U or 6U and depths of 235 or 320mm. A comprehensive range of accessories is also available, including card guides, front panels and plug-in units.

Kaärcher announce the official hand-over of the complete TEP 90 system to the German army on the 10 June at the Ka¨rcher production facility in Obersontheim. The event will be attended by top-tier delegates from the defence sectors.
The TEP 90 is currently the most up-to-date, powerful mobile decontamination system on the market. The system consists of a carrier vehicle with protected driving cab from Iveco Magirus, which feautres a decontamination system from Kärcher Futuretech.
It was developed and procured in close cooperation between the defence sector, military users and the two manufacturing companies under the lead management of the Federal Office of Defense Technology and Procurement.

- The Amex Defense Index (DFI) is an equal dollar weighted Index designed
to represent a cross section of widely held, highly capitalized
companies involved in providing systems, equipment and services to the
United States government and its allies for the purpose of supporting
military, defense and intelligence efforts. The component stocks operate
in industry segments that include, but are not limited to, military
aircraft manufacturing, shipbuilding, ground transportation, aerospace
instrumentation and technology, specialized communication and radar
systems, ammunition and weapon systems.
- SPADE(TM) Defense Index
The ISBC, in cooperation with the American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R))
announced the launch of a new proprietary index to benchmark the
performance of securities in the defense, homeland security, and
space marketplace. The SPADE (TM) Defense Index, began publication
on July 6 and has been assigned the symbol "DXS". Eligible companies
are determined on a quarterly basis using a range of criteria
including a market capitalization greater than $100 million; a
minimum $5.00 daily price; average daily trading volume in excess of
50,000 shares; and quarterly revenues of at least $10 million.
